GAZA: Disturbing videos have emerged from Gaza of a Palestinian toddler who was subjected to torture and abuse by Israeli forces.
According to multiple media reports, including Al Jazeera, the toddler, identified as Karim Abu Nassar, was detained alongside his father, Osama Abu Nassar, near the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
Eyewitnesses and journalists claim that Israeli troops ordered the father to place his child on the ground and approach a nearby checkpoint, where he was allegedly stripped and interrogated. During this time, the child was reportedly separated and later subjected to abuse in an attempt to pressure the father into making confessions.
A medical assessment cited in reports indicated injuries to the toddler’s legs, including burns from cigarettes, pricks, and a nail inserted into his leg. Visual evidence shared by journalists reportedly showed wounds consistent with these claims, though independent verification remains limited.
The child was released approximately 10 hours later and handed over to family members through the International Committee of the Red Cross in Al-Maghazi. His father, however, remains in detention. The Israel Defense Forces has not issued an official response to the allegations at the time of reporting.
The incident has drawn international attention, with figures such as Rashida Tlaib and organizations like Council on American-Islamic Relations condemning the reported events and calling for accountability. CAIR described the allegations as a “moral outrage” and urged immediate action.
