Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak's bail in gambling apps promotion case extended till March 26

LAHORE: A sessions court on Tuesday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of TikTokers Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak, also known as Naniwala, in a case related to the promotion of gambling applications on social media platforms.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmad Qureshi heard the bail petitions of the two content creators, who appeared before the court after their earlier bail period had expired.

During the proceedings, the judge directed that the complete investigation record of the case be submitted by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and extended the bail of both TikTokers until March 26.

Background of the case

The NCCIA had registered a case against the content creators in September 2025 for allegedly promoting online gambling apps through their social media accounts. The case has drawn attention to the growing concern over the use of popular social media platforms to advertise gambling-related content, with the cyber crime agency taking the lead in the investigation.

Both Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak are well-known figures on TikTok and other social media platforms, commanding significant followings. Their alleged involvement in promoting gambling applications led to the NCCIA booking them under relevant cyber crime laws.

Separate case: Bail granted to men accused in substandard milk case

In a separate development, the Lahore High Court on Tuesday granted bail to three men who had been arrested on charges of producing and selling substandard milk and allegedly attacking officials of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA).

The court allowed the bail petitions of Waseem Ashiq and Gulfam against surety bonds of Rs100,000 each. The case pertains to allegations that the accused were involved in the production and sale of milk that did not meet quality standards, and that they had also attacked PFA officials during enforcement action.

The Punjab Food Authority has been conducting regular operations against the sale of adulterated and substandard food products across the province, with milk adulteration remaining a persistent issue in Punjab.
