RAWALPINDI: In anticipation of the upcoming Eidul Azha festivities, Rawalpindi authorities have intensified security arrangements across the city. According to official statements, the city police have developed a comprehensive security plan to ensure the safety of citizens during the holiday period.
Under the new security plan, more than 3,500 police personnel will be deployed at various locations throughout Rawalpindi. The deployment will cover key areas including mosques, Eidgahs, and other public gathering points where large congregations are expected for Eid prayers. Police officials stated that special attention will be given to sensitive locations to prevent any untoward incidents.
In addition to regular police officers, the security plan also includes the deployment of elite force personnel and plainclothes officers. These measures are aimed at enhancing surveillance and ensuring rapid response in case of emergencies. The authorities have also set up special pickets at entry and exit points of the city to monitor movement and maintain law and order.
Senior police officials have directed all personnel to remain vigilant and to coordinate closely with other law enforcement agencies. The police have also appealed to the public to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activity immediately.
Furthermore, traffic police have formulated a separate plan to manage the expected increase in vehicular movement during Eid. Traffic wardens will be stationed at major intersections and routes leading to Eidgahs to facilitate smooth flow and prevent congestion.
Authorities have assured citizens that all necessary steps are being taken to provide a secure environment for Eidul Azha celebrations. The police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and urged residents to observe security protocols for their own safety.
