Government rejects reports of Hajj flight suspension amid regional tensions

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has dismissed recent reports suggesting the suspension of Hajj flights from Pakistan due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East, terming such claims as "baseless."

According to an official statement from the ministry, all arrangements for the Hajj pilgrimage are proceeding as planned. The ministry emphasized that there has been no disruption or suspension of Hajj flights, and Pakistani pilgrims will continue to travel to Saudi Arabia for the annual pilgrimage as scheduled.

The clarification comes in response to circulating reports that raised concerns among prospective pilgrims and their families about the possible impact of regional instability on Hajj travel plans. The ministry reassured the public that the government is closely monitoring the situation and remains committed to ensuring the safety and facilitation of all Pakistani pilgrims.

The statement further urged citizens to rely on official channels for updates regarding Hajj operations and to disregard unverified information circulating on social media or other unofficial platforms.
