Thousands participate in Youm-e-Ali procession in Karachi amid heightened security

KARACHI: Large crowds gathered in Karachi on Friday to mark Youm-e-Ali, with thousands attending a major assembly at Nishtar Park before joining a procession that moved through the city under strict security arrangements.

The event, held to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA), began with a significant gathering at Nishtar Park. Participants later joined the main procession, which followed its traditional route through the city. Authorities implemented tight security measures to ensure the safety of those in attendance, deploying personnel along the procession's path and at key locations.
