Security forces have killed 13 terrorists linked to 'Indian proxy Fitna Al Khwarij' in intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the ISPR.

ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed 13 terrorists in a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to statements released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR stated that the operations took place in five separate engagements in the districts of Bajaur, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan. The military spokesperson said the terrorists were linked to what was described as the “Indian proxy Fitna Al Khwarij.”
According to the ISPR, five terrorists were killed in Bajaur, while three were neutralised in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan. Additionally, five more terrorists were killed in operations in Khyber and South Waziristan, as reported by Geo News citing the ISPR. The military noted that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to counter threats along the western border and to ensure security in the region.
The ISPR highlighted that the intelligence-based operations were launched in response to actionable intelligence regarding the presence of militants in these areas. The statement further said that the security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism and maintaining peace in the province.
The military has frequently attributed recent militant activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to groups allegedly supported by external actors. The ISPR specifically referred to the neutralised militants as being associated with “Indian-backed” networks.
No further details regarding the identities of the killed militants or any casualties among security personnel were provided in the official statements. The ISPR reiterated its resolve to continue such operations to root out terrorism from the region.
