Video of armed men torturing teenage girl in Bannu's Domel tehsil circulates online

A video showing armed men torturing a 15-year-old girl in the Domel tehsil of Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has gained widespread attention after being shared on social media platforms. The footage has drawn concern from local residents and social media users alike.

Familiar with the matter, the girl, identified as Hamshda, was reportedly seen moving around in male clothing and adopting a masculine appearance in the Domel and Township areas. Local sources stated that despite repeated warnings from her family, she continued to wear men's clothes and roam in public spaces.

Unidentified armed men allegedly abducted the girl and took her to an undisclosed location. There, she was subjected to torture, and the incident was recorded on video. The video, which has since circulated widely on social media, shows the girl being compelled to state that she would not go out dressed in this manner or associate with boys in the future. Sources indicated that she was released after being forced to promise not to repeat such actions.

Domel police officials said that, as of now, no formal complaint has been received from any affected party regarding the incident. Consequently, no First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in connection with the case so far.

The circulation of the video has sparked discussions about the safety and rights of young individuals in the region. However, authorities have yet to take formal action, and the identities of the perpetrators remain unknown according to available reports.
