Karachi traffic police implement special plan for Eid shopping season

The Karachi Traffic Police have introduced a detailed traffic management plan to address the anticipated surge in road congestion during the Eid shopping period. The initiative aims to facilitate smoother traffic flow in the city’s busiest commercial areas, where large crowds are expected as residents prepare for Eid festivities.

Officials stated that additional traffic personnel have been deployed at key locations, particularly in areas known for heavy shopping activity such as Saddar. The move is intended to manage the increased volume of vehicles and pedestrians, which typically leads to significant traffic jams during the holiday season.

As part of the plan, authorities have imposed specific restrictions on the movement of rickshaws and taxis in certain zones.
