Pakistanis In Iran Rush to Taftan Border Amid Strikes in Iran
Pakistani nationals are crossing the Taftan border from Iran, describing travel chaos and crowding as they rush to leave following US and Israeli strikes. Witnesses report major transport problems and a steady flow of people at the border.

Pakistani nationals have been seen crossing the Taftan border from Iran into the country, describing scenes of confusion and urgency as they attempted to leave the country following US and Israeli strikes over the weekend. People were observed hauling suitcases and making their way through the large metal gates at the remote crossing between Iran’s Mirjaveh and Taftan in Balochistan.
Witnesses reported that powerful explosions have shaken Iran’s capital, Tehran, since Saturday. In response, embassies from various countries have advised their citizens to depart Iran. The resulting exodus has led to significant congestion at border crossings.
“All our Pakistani brothers who were in Tehran and other cities had started to leave and were arriving at the terminal, which caused a lot of crowd pressure,” said Ameer Muhammad, a 38-year-old trader, on Monday. He further noted, “Due to the crowds, there were major transport problems.”
AFP journalists at the scene described a steady flow of people passing through the border, with many carrying their belongings as they sought to return to Pakistan. The Taftan border crossing, located in Balochistan province, has become a focal point for those seeking to exit Iran amid the ongoing situation.
Cargo trucks were also seen waiting to enter the Pakistan-Iran border crossing at Taftan. The movement comes as reports indicate continued US-Israel strikes on Iran, heightening concerns among foreign nationals in the region.
Sources indicate that the surge in travelers has led to logistical challenges, including transportation delays and crowding at the terminal. The situation remains fluid as more individuals attempt to leave Iran in the wake of recent events.
