Rawalpindi Administration and Butchers Agree to Stabilise Meat Prices During Ramazan

The Rawalpindi district administration and butchers' representatives have agreed to jointly stabilise mutton and beef prices during Ramazan, following a meeting chaired by local officials and attended by the All Pakistan Jamiat Qureshi Meat Welfare Association.

Rawalpindi Administration and Butchers Agree to Stabilise Meat Prices During Ramazan

The district administration of Rawalpindi and representatives of local butchers have reached an agreement to work together to stabilise the prices of mutton and beef during the month of Ramazan.

The meeting, held on Saturday, was convened on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema and chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Dr Hasaan Tariq. The session brought together officials from the district administration and members of the All Pakistan Jamiat Qureshi Meat Welfare Association.

Khursheed Ahmed Qureshi, Central President of the Jamiat Qureshi Meat Welfare Association, led the association's delegation. Other participants included President Jamiat Qureshi Meat Welfare Association Rawalpindi Haji Rahat Javed Qureshi, Mutton Association General Secretary Chaudhry Shaukat Ali, Patron-in-Chief Jamiat Qureshi Meat Welfare Association Rawalpindi Haji Naeem Qureshi, General Secretary Nasir Qureshi, Kamran Qureshi, and Secretary Information Mutton Association Amjad Qureshi, along with other representatives.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held regarding the pricing of mutton and beef in the district during Ramazan. Both sides agreed to collaborate in order to maintain stable meat prices throughout the holy month. The agreement aims to address concerns over potential price hikes and ensure that consumers have access to meat at reasonable rates.

The district administration emphasised the importance of cooperation between officials and the meat sellers' associations to achieve price stability. The representatives of the butchers' associations expressed their willingness to support the administration's efforts in this regard.

The meeting concluded with a consensus to continue joint efforts and maintain regular communication between the administration and the butchers' associations during Ramazan to monitor and regulate meat prices effectively.
