Over 1,100 recruits graduate from FC Balochistan training centre in Loralai

QUETTA: A total of 1,104 recruits formally joined the ranks of Frontier Corps Balochistan (North) after completing training, as a passing-out parade for the 68th batch (Phase Two) was held at the FC Training Centre Loralai on Sunday.

The ceremony featured traditional military drill displays, a ceremonial band performance, and a formal inspection of the parade by Inspector General FC Balochistan (North), Major General Muhammad Atif Mujtaba, who served as the reviewing officer.

Addressing the graduating personnel, the IG congratulated the recruits on successfully completing their rigorous training and formally entering a force tasked with maintaining security and stability in one of the country’s most sensitive regions. He also acknowledged the role of families, noting that their support was crucial in enabling the recruits to pursue demanding service careers.

Major General Mujtaba described the force as an institution with a long record of discipline, sacrifice, and operational responsibility. He urged the new personnel to uphold these traditions while carrying out their duties with professionalism and commitment.

During the parade, the newly trained recruits marched in coordinated formations across the ground, demonstrating the skills acquired during their training period. The event drew significant attendance from local communities, including tribal elders, community leaders, and civil society representatives, reflecting efforts to strengthen cooperation between the security forces and the public.

In a symbolic gesture, Nawab Khan, father of martyred Khateeb Amshad Ali from Nushki, was invited as chief guest. Organisers paid tribute to the sacrifices of security personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty, underscoring the risks associated with service in conflict-affected areas.

Officials said such participation by families of fallen personnel serves as a reminder of the human cost of maintaining security and reinforces the values of honour and sacrifice within the force.

Some of the graduating recruits also shared brief remarks expressing pride in joining the paramilitary organisation. One recruit encouraged young people across the country to consider careers in national service, while another spoke about the personal honour of wearing the uniform and contributing to the country’s security.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, awards were presented to trainees who showed exceptional performance during the course, including distinctions in physical training, marksmanship, discipline, and overall conduct.

The Frontier Corps Balochistan (North) plays a central role in border security, counter-terrorism operations, and support to civil administration across northern districts of the province. Recruitment drives and training programmes are periodically conducted to maintain operational readiness and replace personnel completing their service cycles.

Officials said the induction of the new batch would strengthen the force’s manpower at a time when security responsibilities remain extensive, including border management, infrastructure protection, and assistance during emergencies.

The passing-out parade concluded with a formal salute and dispersal of the contingent, marking the transition of the recruits from trainees to active members of the force.
