KARACHI: The Government of Sindh, through its College Education Department, has opened applications for the Bhutto STEM Scholarship for the 2026–27 academic year. The programme will be offered at Lady Margaret Hall in collaboration with the University of Oxford and the Oxford Pakistan Programme.

The scholarship targets high-achieving and motivated candidates from Sindh who plan to pursue Master’s, MPhil, or PhD/DPhil degrees. While applicants from various academic backgrounds may apply, priority will be given to those from science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields.

Six scholarships will be awarded for the upcoming academic session. Three seats are reserved for female candidates under the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Initiative, while the remaining three will be allocated on open merit through the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Initiative.

To be eligible, applicants must hold a Sindh CNIC, domicile, and PRC (Form-D). They must also meet the academic and English language requirements of their chosen programme and secure an unconditional offer from the University of Oxford for the 2026–27 academic year. Candidates receiving any other scholarship are not eligible to apply.

Applications must be submitted online via the Oxford Pakistan Programme website. Only complete submissions will be considered, and shortlisted candidates may be invited for interviews. The final selection process will be carried out jointly by the College Education Department and the OPP Scholarship Committee.

Officials have stated that details regarding application opening and closing dates will be shared through the relevant online link.
