A significant theft was reported in Gujranwala after thieves escaped with chilgoza pine nuts valued at Rs. 3.85 million in a brazen daylight incident.
Although the crime took place several days earlier, CCTV footage of the theft has only recently come to light. The video shows three suspects calmly carrying six large sacks of chilgoza pine nuts and leaving the area without resistance.
Police at Model Town Police Station registered a case after the footage emerged and began an investigation into the incident.
However, the affected trader expressed strong reservations over how the case was recorded. He claimed that the police documented the loss as only Rs. 350,000, despite the actual value of the stolen goods being more than ten times higher.
The trader has appealed to authorities to correct the case details, arrest the suspects promptly, and recover the stolen high-value pine nuts.
