In Balochistan’s colder regions, government schools will remain closed for two and a half months starting December 16, as part of the province’s annual winter vacation schedule. The extended closure is designed to protect students from harsh winter conditions.
In Chaman, annual exams for junior classes are currently in progress. The Education Department confirmed that exams for students in classes one to seven began on November 16 and will run until November 24. Examinations for class eight students, conducted by the Balochistan Board, will begin on November 24.
Punjab has also released its winter break dates. Schools across the province will close from December 23, 2025, to January 11, 2026, with all educational institutions set to reopen on January 12.
Both provinces’ Education Departments have instructed school administrators to ensure that all exams and pre-vacation academic activities are completed as planned.
