Korea launches global ‘Vibe With Us’ challenge to connect Pakistani youth

  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea rolls out social media campaign to foster hope among youth
  • Korean Embassy in Pakistan integrates initiative into public diplomacy efforts, encouraging youth to showcase their ‘My K’ using Instagram Reels
  • KOREAZ booth at K-Wave Festa promotes culture, society, and foreign policy engagement

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea has launched a global social media initiative, the “Vibe With Us” Relay Challenge, aimed at fostering connection, empathy, and hope among young people worldwide. The campaign is being hosted via the ministry’s public diplomacy Instagram account, @mofa_koreaz.

According to a press release, the initiative seeks to recognize the challenges facing today’s youth—including economic hardship, limited opportunities, generational divides, loneliness, and social isolation—while encouraging participants to share messages of solidarity and understanding across borders.

Participants are invited to upload photos or short videos using an Instagram Reels template, make the signature K-hand sign, and highlight their “My K”—a personal representation of Korean culture that has inspired, comforted, or connected them to the global community.

In Pakistan, the challenge has gained significant momentum, thanks to promotional videos from Majid Mushtaq, a Pakistani YouTuber and recipient of the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), and Leneha Junsu, a well-known K-influencer supported by Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Their participation has encouraged many young Pakistani fans of Korean culture to join the challenge and share their own experiences.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Pakistan has also actively promoted the campaign, integrating it into its broader public diplomacy efforts. A KOREAZ promotion booth was featured at the K-Wave Festa held in October at Islamabad’s Serena Hotel, allowing participants to learn more about Korean culture, society, and foreign policy.

The embassy is directing audiences to the @mofa_koreaz Instagram page and the KOREAZ YouTube channel for continued engagement, ensuring that the initiative reaches a wide, global youth audience.

The embassy emphasized that it will continue working to deepen cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Korea and Pakistan through a variety of public diplomacy initiatives, reinforcing ties between the two nations while empowering young people to connect and share across borders.
