Toothbrush removed from man’s stomach

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A 55-year-old man from Rahim Yar Khan had a close call after accidentally swallowing his toothbrush while brushing his teeth early in the morning.

According to hospital officials, the man was cleaning his tongue when he suddenly yawned, causing the toothbrush to slip down his throat and pass through the esophagus into his stomach.

Family members quickly took him to Shaikh Zayed Hospital, where doctors performed an emergency endoscopy. The medical team managed to remove the toothbrush safely without the need for surgery.

Doctors said the patient was extremely fortunate that the object did not cause internal injuries. He is now in stable condition and recovering under medical supervision.

Health experts have advised the public to be cautious while brushing, especially when cleaning the tongue, as sudden movements such as yawning or coughing can lead to accidental swallowing or injury.

The unusual case has gone viral on social media, with many users expressing disbelief and curiosity over how such an incident could happen.
