- Pakistan’s hero dedicates his victory to Armed Forces and entire nation
LAHORE/DUBAI: Pakistan’s rising MMA sensation Rizwan Ali delivered another stunning performance as he demolished Indian fighter Rana Rudra Pratap Singh in the very first round of their bout in Dubai, extending his remarkable unbeaten record to 11–0.
The much-hyped clash, staged under the banner of Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA), a leading Russian MMA promotion backed by Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, saw Rizwan overpower his Indian opponent with lightning speed and clinical precision, forcing an early stoppage to secure victory within the opening round.
The win not only maintained Rizwan’s flawless professional record but also earned him a cash prize of PKR 5 million, further solidifying his status as Pakistan’s most promising mixed martial art player.
The event drew major global attention, with UFC superstar Khamzat Chimaev attending the fight in person. Following the contest, Chimaev personally congratulated Rizwan on his emphatic win, praising his composure, skill, and relentless drive.
After the fight, an elated Rizwan dedicated his victory to Pakistan, the Armed Forces, and the nation’s fans, saying: “There is nothing greater than Pakistan. This win is for my country, for our soldiers, and for every Pakistani who believes in me.”
Reflecting on his fiery words before the bout, Rizwan proved prophetic. He had vowed to defeat the Indian fighter and refused to shake hands before the fight, declaring he would “teach him a lesson in the cage.” True to his word, Rizwan dominated from the outset and finished the fight decisively.
Speaking after the win, Rizwan expressed gratitude to those who stood by him throughout his journey. “I thank the Pakistan MMA Federation, especially President Omar Ahmed, who has always supported me,” Rizwan said. “Meeting Omar was a turning point in my life. He trained me, mentored me, and gave me international exposure. Because of his guidance, I now stand here undefeated at 11–0.”
He also acknowledged his sponsor ACTIVIT and its CEO, Dr. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed, for their great backing. “He’s been like a big brother to me. His support in terms of finances, health, and nutrition has been magical. After Omar Ahmed, he’s the biggest reason behind my success.”
Omar Ahmed, president of the Pakistan MMA Federation and founder of Brave Gym, praised Rizwan’s victory as a defining moment for the sport in Pakistan. “We’re not just building fighters; we’re building a movement. Pakistan’s MMA scene is no longer underground; it’s national, it’s real, and Rizwan is leading that charge.”
