Five killed, four injured in separate incidents in Kalat

KALAT: Five individuals, including a sub-inspector from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), were killed, and four others were injured in various incidents in Kalat, sources confirmed on Friday.

According to police and Levies officials, Fida Ahmad, a CTD sub-inspector, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants who opened fire on him. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

In a separate incident, two members of the bomb disposal squad lost their lives while four others were injured in a bomb blast near a police checkpoint in the Mangchar area. The explosion took place while the squad was attempting to neutralize a suspected device.

Additionally, two bodies were recovered from Mangchar, with one of the deceased identified as Saifullah. Investigations into these incidents are underway as authorities work to determine the motives and perpetrators behind the attacks.
