KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has initiated a comprehensive drain cleaning campaign ahead of the upcoming monsoon season to prevent waterlogging and ensure the smooth flow of rainwater. Cleaning work is currently underway at crucial drainage points, including Hijrat Colony Nallah, Machar Colony Nallah, and PIDC Nallah, which are essential for maintaining uninterrupted water flow in densely populated urban areas.
The Mayor of Karachi visited several locations to inspect the ongoing efforts, reviewing progress and directing KMC officials to accelerate the desilting and waste removal activities.
