Brad Pitt has returned to a classic hairstyle that defined much of his ’90s and early 2000s film career.
On Thursday, the 61-year-old actor was spotted driving around Los Angeles sporting a close buzzcut, a sharp departure from the longer salt-and-pepper style he had earlier this year. Along with the haircut, Pitt also shaved off his gray beard, unveiling a clean and fresh new appearance.

While the reason behind the makeover remains unclear, fans speculate he may be preparing for a new role following the completion of his recent movie F1.
Pitt’s buzzcut first became iconic in the 1999 cult hit Fight Club, where he portrayed Tyler Durden with a shaved head, mustache, and goatee. He revisited the short hairstyle for roles in Ocean’s Twelve (2004) and Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), the latter marking where he met Angelina Jolie.

The buzzcut trend appears to run in the family. Pitt’s children with Jolie, daughter Shiloh and son Knox, have both sported shaved heads. Shiloh debuted a bold light pink buzzcut in 2023 before growing out her hair, while Knox’s short haircut was spotlighted at the Governors Awards last November, where he made his first red carpet appearance in years.
With Pitt’s recent style update, perhaps another family member will soon follow in his footsteps with a head-turning buzzcut.
