President Asif Ali Zardari declared that Pakistan will never compromise on its sovereignty, territorial integrity, or core national interests. In a message on Thanksgiving Day marking the victory of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, he expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for blessing Pakistan with success during a critical time.
He paid tribute to the valiant soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces and military leadership, including the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Air Staff, and the Chief of Naval Staff. Zardari said the victory belongs not only to the armed forces but also to the entire Pakistani nation, which stood firm against enemy aggression.
The president lauded the armed forces for their precise, professional, and strong response to Indian provocation. He noted that the world witnessed Pakistan’s patience, restraint, and operational effectiveness, which compelled the enemy to cease its aggression. “We stood firm. We stood united. And we emerged victorious with dignity,” he said.
Zardari emphasized that Pakistan is a peace-loving country with no aggressive designs against others but reiterated that any aggression against Pakistan will be met with full force.
