Khawaja Asif warns of possible new Indian misadventure, vows strong response

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has cautioned that India may attempt another misadventure, warning that Pakistan will respond decisively if provoked.

Speaking to a private TV channel on Wednesday, Asif said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is politically cornered and under intense pressure, which could lead to reckless actions. He stated that any such move by Modi would have serious global consequences.

The defence minister also suggested that further escalation might cause even India’s allies to reconsider their support for Modi’s actions.
