Remaining HBL PSL X Matches Relocated to UAE Due to Security Concerns: PCB

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday that the remaining fixtures of the HBL Pakistan Super League X will be moved to the UAE, following heightened security concerns at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Originally scheduled to take place across Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore, the final phase of the tournament will now be held in the UAE, with a revised schedule and updated venues to be shared soon.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi explained that the decision was prompted by what he described as an “extremely irresponsible and dangerous act” by India, aimed at disrupting the ongoing tournament. “This was clearly done to interfere with the HBL Pakistan Super League X,” Naqvi said. “To ensure the safety of our domestic and international players, who are our valued guests, we have moved the remaining matches to the UAE.”

The safety of the players, both mentally and physically, was cited as a key factor in the PCB’s decision. Naqvi emphasized the importance of safeguarding the interests of cricket while ensuring the continuity of the league. “As a responsible organization, we have repeatedly overcome challenges, and it is vital that we maintain the momentum of the tournament,” he added.

The remaining HBL PSL X matches scheduled in the UAE will include:

  • Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi
  • Peshawar Zalmi vs Lahore Qalandars
  • Islamabad United vs Karachi Kings
  • Multan Sultans vs Quetta Gladiators
  • Qualifier
  • Eliminator 1
  • Eliminator 2
  • Final

The PCB concluded by urging all stakeholders to support the board in completing the tournament successfully.
