UK-returned man shot dead by brother, nephew; two killed in Sialkot

JHELUM/SIALKOT: A UK-returned man was shot dead by his brother and nephew over a petty issue while two persons were shot dead in Sialkot’s Uggoki area on Monday, the police said.

According to police, the incident took place in Gharmala area of Jhelum where accused identified as Zahoor and his son Muhammad Ali exchanged hot words with his UK-returned-brother over a minor issue.

The verbal clash turned violent after which the culprits gunned down Irfan and fled the scene.

The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem and police registered a case of the incident.

In Sialkot, two people were gunned down by armed men riding car over old enmity here on Monday, the police said.

The police said that armed men sprayed a car with bullets, carrying members of opponent group in Pabreye Wali area, in the remit of Uggoki Police.

As a result, both car riders were killed on the spot while attackers fled the scene.

The police registered a case against assailants and launched further investigation.
