The capacity of Islamabad’s recently announced prison for 2,000 inmates may not be enough. On completion, the prison would certainly be catering to the needs of all the law- enforcement agencies and courts. Hence, the capacity of the said prison should be based on the projected requirements of at least 50 years ahead, if not more.
