Pre-monsoon arrangements

Before the monsoon season, Tharparkar needs rigorous arrangements to store and make use of rainwater. The region, as is well known, is hugely dependent on rainwater for agriculture and everyday consumption. This water is surely not good enough for drinking purposes. The provincial government needs to take appropriate measures to construct check dams and install water purification plants to ensure easy access to potable water.
