No extension needed

There have been some reports in the media suggesting that the caretaker government has considered extending its tenure in the name of sustaining the country’s economic recovery. If it happens, it will be a violation of the Constitution. There should be a severe condemnation of any such move. Any conspiracy to violate the people’s fundamental rights should not be tolerated. There is no extension in tenure needed at all. The nation’s focus should be on the elections ahead.
