With elections approaching, politicians are at it again, making tall promises right, left and centre. If the build-up to the elections is no different, it is hard to imagine that the post-election scenario will be any different. The people of Larkana and its surroundings areas, for instance, remain deprived of their basic rights. The plight of drainage system, education, healthcare and infrastructure in rural Sindh is an absolute mess. The law and order situation in many areas is seriously bad. Our politicians neither bring the change they promise nor bother to make an effort in that direction.
