Sharjeel Memon hospitalised with heart attack

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Transport, Sharjeel Inam Memon, was rushed to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in Hyderabad on Saturday following a sudden heart attack.

According to hospital management, the condition of the minister, 48, rapidly deteriorated and he was immediately transferred to the coronary care unit (CCU) for further treatment.

A team of specialists at the NICVD decided to perform an angioplasty, a procedure used to open blocked or narrowed blood vessels in the heart, to address the issue.

Though the Sindh Information Department has yet to comment on the minister’s condition, sources close to the hospital have reported that he is currently in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

The sudden heart attack has come as a surprise to many, as the minister had not previously reported any heart-related issues. The news of the minister’s health emergency has sparked concern among his constituents and political supporters, who are hoping for a speedy recovery.

The cause of the heart attack is yet to be determined.
