Covid claims life, 67 new cases reported

LAHORE: The country has reported one death in the last 24 hours from novel coronavirus as the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,572,269. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,612 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures released by the National Institute of Health (NIH), at least 67 persons were tested positive for Covid-19 across the country during the past 24 hours.

The NIH informed that a total of 16,791 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours while the Covid Positivity Ratio was recorded at 0.40 percent.

Meanwhile, 75 patients were in critical condition.
