Shehbaz Sharif told to rest after hurting himself in fall from stairs

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif fell down from the stairs of his house in Lahore on Thursday and was injured.

Reportedly, following his fall from the stairs, the PML-N leader stopped all his political activities.

After his medical examination, doctors advised him of a two-week rest, along with physical therapy. They ran different X-rays on him to examine his condition. Shehbaz is feeling backache after the fall.

Party spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said in a tweet that Shehbaz was leaving for a press conference on Wednesday when he slipped on a staircase and fell on his back. But “with the grace of Allah, he remained safe from a major injury,” she added.

Shehbaz had in 2019 complained about severe back pain due to which Magnetic Resonance Imaging was conducted.

The MRI report had later shown complications in his spinal disks, prompting doctors to advise him to undergo surgery.
