The people of Gilgit Baltistan (GB) have rejected Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s claims of election rigging, which emerged in a phone conversation, said Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill.
“The accused Maryam tried to become Halima Sultan and sell corruption by making it her national duty,” the SAPM added on Twitter on Tuesday.
Earlier, Bilawal told Maryam during a telephonic conversation that “despite the rigging, the opposition parties getting more votes than the ruling coalition is proof of the PTI’s [Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf] unpopularity”.
Maryam replied that the people of GB are standing with the opposition.
The SAPM, however, said that people of GB have rejected the fake narrative of the two leaders.
