Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday dismissed speculation of internal divisions within his party, adding that they were prepared to oust the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from the government.
Speaking to a local television channel, the PML-N leader said that the Sharif brothers did not have any ideological differences and while party members are free to express their opinions, all of them stick to the collective decision of the party.
He said that the party owned PML-N supremo’s statement, adding that they, along with other opposition parties, were starting a democratic resistance against the PTI government.
“We have to ensure that the constitution is upheld, that there is freedom of the judiciary, and a transparent political system,” he said.
