In modern context, diplomacy is no less than a double edged sword, nations are to overhaul soft interactions and take perfect postures. It is a question of the hour that why Pakistan as a nation that has exercised itself out of Gordian knot is being faced with international criticism, derision and isolation? Why do the South Asian states look at Pakistan with pity and disgust?
In Pakistan our policymakers and power blessed people are busy in pursuing their own vested interests, our country’s position in international politics is not beyond that appraisal, yet it has tackled with its proficiency. This is an age of competition where countries are stitching alliances, on the other hand Pakistan lacks in an assertive direction of its foreign policy it is running along with its perplexed one. Although Pakistan must ameliorate its foreign ministry in order to vie, discourse and review its stance and must get busy itself in making new diplomatic ties to engage with the global community. While on the external front, our relation with our eastern neighbor is very hostile. We need to have a consistent approach and policy towards India and to assume that India will bring some change in its behavior is not meeting eyes in the near future. Pakistan has a military as well as diplomatic option and international leverage to decide a path and follow the toes of it.
If the relations are glanced through the contour of diplomacy, it is time to fortify our diplomats with the inexorable skills and power. To sum up, we should go through our internal and external policies making them stronger with the changing need of regional and global politics and stop the country from getting into regional isolation.
