The two different parameters of justice that’ve been endured in Pakistan has always lead to unfairness and made things unfortunate. Where these distinctive parameters made the course of life difficult for the already poverty-stricken individuals, it has also intensified the sense of denial for equal opportunities and eradicated any hopes for justice within a number of groups. In such circumstances, hearing someone promising a justly treatment became irresistible for the masses. Hence they had no other recourse but to pin their trusts in what was being pledged to them. Unfortunately a political organization that named itself a ‘movement for justice’ party, aiming for reforms in law and judicial sectors turned out to be obscure from the apprehensions of justice. It might be both absurd and underwhelming to acknowledge the fact that the ‘movement for justice’ party do not have a suitable and separate law and justice minister since approximately over a month now and the federal ministry is headed currently by PM Imran khan. The former minister for law resigned from his office to defend a presidential reference against Justice Qazi Isa which was later quashed by the Honorable Supreme Court. However, it isn’t the first time the federal minister resigned from the cabinet only to be re-appointed later, similar is expected this time as well. Historically, Pakistan’s preceding governments were always accused of continuously making attempts to exert influence over the higher judiciary through unprincipled ways, but unfortunately those who were claimers of change couldn’t also really change this. What message does this presidential reference indict about their proclivity for justice?
