Turbat has been experiencing a lockdown from 22 March till 6 April at the behest of deputy commissioner of Kech after the joint meeting of association of merchants of the city in the wake of novel coronavirus outbreak. This decision was made to enforce strict social distancing measures and implement the safety guidelines and precautions advised by the health professionals. Despite the fact of lockdown, the citizens are throwing the orders of DC to the wind. People are, on daily basis, seen in bazaars in a large scale. Mosques are overwhelmed by the worshippers. Large gatherings like marriages are continued without any hindrance. The authorities are badly failed to maintain the order entire the city. The district administration must look into the matter before the situation gets out of hand.
