SHIKARPUR: A women went through labour and then delivered a child outside the Shikarpur Civil Hospital on Tuesday due to negligence of the hospital administration.
As per sources, Samina Bibi, a resident of Bhoja Naper in Shikarpur district was rushed to hospital when she complained of severe pain in her abdomen.
When her relatives asked the on-duty lady doctor to admit her, she not just flatly refused but also demanded from the family to submit reports of two different medical examinations and an ultrasound.
Family of Samina tried to coax the administration but the staff kept delaying the admission and eventually she gave birth outside the laboratory of the hospital.
The hospital staff refused to shift the woman for first aid for at least an hour after the birth.
