PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) barred the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) from blocking non-registered cellphones on Tuesday.
While hearing a petition regarding this case, PHC ordered PTA to not block non-registered phones for another three months.
Back in April, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s (PTA) decision to block unregistered mobile phones was challenged in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The hearing was conducted by Justice Athar Minallah of the IHC.
