KHAR: Unidentified miscreants gunned down a Polio Monitoring Officer here Saturday-Sunday midnight and escaped the scene.
Police said that the incident took place in Mamund area of district Bajaur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) where unknown extremists shot dead a Polio Monitoring Officer.
The culprits fled the scene after committing murder and the body was shifted to hospital where it was handed over to heirs after postmortem.
The police after registering a case against unidentified assailants have started an investigation.
