PESHAWAR: A student was shot dead by robbers on resistance in Tajabad area in the outskirts of the provincial capital, police said on Monday.
According to police, Zeeshan Khan was a student of the mechanical engineering department at a private university was fired at by armed bandits on a motorbike when he refused to hand over his mobile phone.
Suspected robbers managed to flee the spot after firing shots at the young man, a police official said, adding brother of the deceased Dr Kamran registered case against unknown assailants.
He said the police have launched search operation to track down and arrest the culprits.
