KARACHI: Population Welfare Department (PWD) employees held a protest demonstration near CM House here on Wednesday against the government, demanding provision of son quota, promotions of male mobilizes, regularisation of jobs and time scale.
The protesters, carrying placards and banners, were chanting slogans against the government for not providing son quota, promotions of male mobilize, regularization of jobs and seniority as per time scale.
They tried to proceed towards Sindh Chief Minister’s House, but police stopped them. The police also arrested some employees during the protest and however, they later released them.
