MIRPURKHAS: Seven shops were gutted as a fire erupted at a local market of Mirpurkhas city on Thursday.
The fire erupted in a shop in the market near Khipro Nako area of the city that engulfed other six shops. The fire brigade teams rushed to the scene on information and after hectic efforts, succeeded to extinguish it.
They saved many other shops from the fire. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained till filing the report. No case could be registered by police yet.
The shopkeepers told media that the fire firstly erupted in a shop that engulfed other shops suddenly, however, the fire brigade staff extinguished it with a swift operation. They said that they had suffered heavy loss, therefore, the government should compensate for it.
