PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Food Safety and Halal Food Authority seized huge quantity of mince unhygienic meat/intestines and arrested five here on Sunday.
On a tip-off, the KP Food Safety and Halal Food Authority raided a warehouse in Chamkani area of the provincial capital Peshawar. During the raid, a huge quantity of mince unhygienic meat and intestines of animals were seized and five culprits involved in the illegal practice were arrested.
The recovered mince unhygienic meat/intestines were supplied for preparing ‘kubab’ and minced-meat sellers in different areas of Peshawar.
The seized unhygienic minced meat/intestines were disposed off later on and the detainees were being interrogated.
