ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday said that protecting the rights of minorities is among the top priorities of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
In a statement issued to felicitate the Christian community on Christmas, the information minister said that the community has played a great role in solidarity, development and prosperity of Pakistan. He also appreciated their services in health, education and other sectors.
Fawad said that the birth of Prophet Isa (AS) is beatitude for Muslims as well. He further said that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees the protection of minorities in the country.
