– Says govt will cooperate with IMF
LAHORE: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Naeemul Haque on Sunday refuted reports of a mid-term election, claiming that it was simply impossible.
Haque added that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is planning to organise mass contact movements starting from Mianwali on January 27.
Moreover, he spoke of the verdicts pending against the opposition leaders and said that important decisions in the cases indicting Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari will be announced soon.
Vehemently, he declared that those who looted the national exchequer shall be punished as both of these leaders had amassed billions.
He also said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader merely wants to consolidate an empire for his children and “his politics revolves around sticking with the power corridors”.
The prime minister’s special assistant also stated that the PTI government wants to cooperate with the opposition parties, having become the biggest party in Punjab.
He also added that the government will enter an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) according to its demands.
