PM should ask ministers to avoid issuing controversial statements: Munawar Anjum

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Deputy Information Secretary Munawar Anjum, reacting to Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary’s allegations regarding former president Asif Ali Zardari owning a flat in the US, said that there was a person named Saifur Rehman who used to claim similar things but he had to kneel before Zardari to ask for pardon.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Munawar Anjum said that the PM Khan should ask his ministers to avoid giving such controversial statements which bring shame to the government.

He further asked how Imran Khan’s sister owns properties worth millions abroad. Fawad Chaudhry should answer questions about Aleema Khan’s properties if he is so keen on accountability, he asserted.

Munawar Anjum said that the history was witness to the fact that whosoever accused PPP leadership of corruption had to face embarrassment.
