MALAKAND: A mild earthquake jolted district Malakand and surrounding area on Sunday noon, however, no loss of property and life was reported.
According to the geological wing of the meteorological department, tremours measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale were felt in Malakand and surrounding areas.
People of the areas where the quake was felt rushed out of their homes and shops in panic reciting verses from Holy Quran.
However, no causality or property damages were reported from any area.
The epicenter of the earthquake was stated to be Pak-Afghan-Tajikistan border area, 130 kilometers inside earth crust.
