GUJRANWALA: A man brutally tortured his wife for not bearing a child, however, the police managed to rescue the lady.
According to police reports, Ishfaq and Shumaila hailing from Kamoke area of Gujranwala got married some 11 years back but haven’t had any child.
Some days earlier, Ishfaq got annoyed at his wife for her infertility and after confining her in a room, continued to torture her for three days. The police rescued the injured woman on a tip-off and shifted her to the hospital. However, the culprit managed to escape.
Meanwhile, a case has also been registered against the accused and raids are being conducted for his arrest.
