Assistant professor accused of sexual harassment reappointed in Sindh

Sindh’s education minister the other day reappointed an assistant professor as Directorate Colleges deputy finance director who had earlier been dismissed over sexual harassment charges.

Abdul Ghaffar Bhutto, who was dismissed over allegations of harassing women, was given the same post during the tenure of former provincial minister Pir Mazharul Haq.

He was removed, however, following an inquiry into the allegations of harassment. Then, by the use of influence, he had regained the post during the tenure of Sindh’s former education and literacy minister Nisar Khuhro.

However, he was once again removed from the post over claims of receiving bribes from colleges.
