Nawaz directs party leaders to prevent ‘vote theft’ during by-polls

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has directed leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to remain vigilant and not let “votes be stolen” during by-polls, a private media outlet reported.

He also told party candidates and parliamentarians to prevent “vote theft” by staying in their respective returning officers’ (RO) rooms until the final results were announced.

According to reports, party leader Hamza Shehbaz will also be present in his constituency’s RO room till the final results are announced.

It is worth mentioning here that PML-N alleges massive rigging during the July 25 general elections.
